"The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work on becoming Yourself." (Anna Quindlen)
When I read this quote earlier this morning, it jumped out at me. This quote seems to capture what I feel like my "late 20's" have been about so far! It has been exciting and challenging. I feel like this period of my life has produced the toughest "growth spurt" for me so far. The refining process is never easy, but so worth it. All in all, I am enjoying it and growing from this phase of my life. One thing I am realizing is that I have a lot to learn.
Back to my studies for now =)
(P.S. I found the above quote at this Blog: Giving up on Perfect.com
Today was the first day I read her blog.)

Too funny! The other day when I was at Borders I spent about two hours reading her three little books. My favorite of hers is from her commencment speech at some university...her advice on life: show up, listen, and laugh. Her advice on childrearing: show up, listen, and laugh. Can you guess what her advice was on marriage? He he! She also as a chp in her book called No Womb in the House (its about other things...but I enjoyed that title). She has a great perspective on many things in life but has some strong thoughts on certain topics that make her less popular in Christian circles, I think But my opinion? She hits a home run on many of her thoughts on life!!! And I so relate to many of them. So what she doesn't hit them all...who does??????????
